We help veterans and their families better understand VA benefits, the claims process, and the available resources that support their quality of life. We understand that VA benefits are about the veteran, their family, their caregiver, and the support system standing beside them. Our goal is to help veterans feel informed, prepared, and supported as they move forward with their claim.

Honoring the Beautiful, Restoring the Hope

what we do

How we serve you

At Williamson Veteran Benefit Assistance, you are not alone—we are here to support you and help you feel prepared.

We file VA disability claims on behalf of veterans—handling the paperwork, evidence, and strategy so you can focus on what matters most.

We help spouses, caregivers, and dependents understand and access the benefits they've earned too.

We support veterans from all military branches, military spouses, family caregivers, and dependents.

We serve because veterans should not have to navigate the VA benefits process alone. Many veterans live with physical injuries, chronic pain, mental health struggles, service-connected disabilities, and the long-term effects of military service.

Families often carry the weight with them. Spouses become caregivers. Children adjust to changes in the home. Loved ones help manage appointments, paperwork, transportation, medications, emotions, and daily routines.

Our goal is to help veterans and families feel supported, informed, and prepared.

I am honored to serve veterans and their families through their claims process.

I have been married to an Army veteran for 28 years. When my husband was injured in Afghanistan, I learned so much through his journey, I have personally seen the mental, emotional, and physical pain that many veterans carry long after service.

Walking beside him through that process gave me a deeper understanding of the challenges veterans and families face when seeking care. And, now, as a licensed claims agent, I’m on a mission to help veterans and their families navigate the VA and the paperwork they need to feel supported.

VA disability compensation is a monthly benefit paid to eligible veterans who have disabilities, injuries, illnesses, or conditions connected to their military service.

What is VA disability compensation?

back

Service connection means the VA recognizes that a veteran’s condition was caused by, began during, or was aggravated by military service.

What does service connection mean?

back

A secondary condition is a disability that develops because of, or is aggravated by, an already service-connected condition.

Example: A veteran with a service-connected knee condition may later develop back pain, hip pain, or problems with the opposite knee because of altered walking, instability, or chronic pain.

What is a secondary condition?

back

Yes.

Family members, friends, coworkers, and caregivers may submit lay statements explaining what they have personally observed about the veteran’s symptoms, limitations, or changes over time.

Can family members submit statements?

back

Helpful documents may include:
* DD Form 214
* Service Treatment Records
* VA medical records
* Civilian medical records
* Diagnosis records
* Prescription records
* Personal statements
* Buddy or lay statements
* C&P exam reports
* Prior VA decision letters

What documents are helpful for a VA claim?

Some caregivers may qualify for support through VA caregiver programs, depending on the veteran’s needs, eligibility, and level of care required.
